Historia
Nadleśnictwo Milicz zostało utworzone 29 grudnia1977r. z połączenia byłych nadleśnictw Milicz, Cieszków i Kubryk.
Byłe nadleśnictwa, które obecnie tworzą gospodarstwo leśne pod nazwą ,,Nadleśnictwo Milicz", zostały utworzone w 1945r. na podstawie dekretu PKWN z dnia l2.XII.1944r., jako samodzielne jednostki o nazwie ,,nadleśnictwo". Granice tych nadleśnictw ustalił pełnomocnik Ministra Leśnictwa na obwód milicki inż. Antoni Sikorski, tworząc w kwietniu 1945r. cztery nadleśnictwa odpowiadające swym zasięgiem obecnemu nadleśnictwu Milicz. Były to nadleśnictwa Kubryk, Milicz, Młociny i Podarz, utworzone z byłych niemieckich 'lasów państwowych (nadleśnictwa Militsch i Kuhbruck), lasów właścicieli wielkich majątków ziemskich, lasów kościelnych oraz lasów drobnej własności ziemskiej.
Odnośnie prowadzenia gospodarki leśnej do 1945r. brak jest sprawdzonych danych, wiadomo jedynie, że użytkowanie drzewostanów prowadzono przeważnie zrębami zupełnymi na większych powierzchniach, odnawianych sosną, a na żyźniejszych siedliskach również bukiem i dębem, w mniejszym stopniu świerkiem i olszą. Odnowienie odbywało się w zasadzie siewem i sadzeniem w pasach. Stan młodników i drągowin pochodzących z tamtego okresu określano jako dobry i bardzo dobry.
W latach 1945 - 1947 połączone w nowo powstałe nadleśnictwa dotychczasowe lasy różnych własności uzyskały wspólne zasady zagospodarowania, ukierunkowane na porządkowanie lasu pod względem sanitarnym i usuwaniem zaniedbań hodowlanych z ostatnich lat wojny. Począwszy od wczesnych lat powojennych gospodarkę leśną prowadzono już na podstawie sporządzonych następujących planów urządzeniowych.
Obecny stan najstarszych drzewostanów świadczy o solidnej jakości wykonywanych wówczas odnowień oraz starannym ich pielęgnowaniu w okresie upraw i młodników.
Wcześniej planową gospodarkę w lasach dzisiejszego nadleśnictwa Milicz rozpoczęto w połowie XVIII wieku po przejęciu Śląska przez Prusy. W wyniku kilku kolejnych edyktów i zarządzeń wydanych przez Fryderyka von Hohenzollerna, zerwano z gospodarka plądrowniczą, przeprowadzono pierwsze pomiary lasów państwowych i lasów dużej własności, wchodzących aktualnie w areał leśny nadleśnictwa, wprowadzono istniejący do dziś w zasadniczych kompleksach leśnych podział powierzchniowy o kształcie regularnym, w zakresie użytkowania wprowadzono podział na regularne poręby i obowiązek odnawiania zrębów, rozpoczęto pierwsze prace związane z melioracjami wodnymi i budową dróg leśnych. Lata przed pierwszą wojna światową oraz okres dwudziestolecia międzywojennego, charakteryzują się zrębowym sposobem zagospodarowania ze sztucznym odnawianiem zrębów. Obecny stan najstarszych drzewostanów świadczy o solidnej jakości wykonywanych wówczas odnowień oraz starannym ich pielęgnowaniu w okresie upraw i młodników. Bardzo starannie była utrzymywana sieć dróg leśnych.
